Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Holy Book Quiz app ("the app") and the holybookquiz.com website ("the website") handle. In short: the app does not collect any personal information.

Information the app collects

None. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking. It does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information.

Information stored on your device

To remember your progress, the app saves a small file on your device containing:

• the stars and best score you earned on each level
• your talents (points you collect from answer streaks and milestones)
• your sound and music settings

This file never leaves your device. We cannot see it, and it is not sent to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone's settings, deletes it permanently.

Internet use

All the scripture text is built into the app, so it works fully offline and does not send information over the internet.

Playing in your browser

The version of the game at holybookquiz.com/play works the same way. It saves the same progress information in your browser's own storage on your device, not on our servers. To work offline, your browser also keeps a copy of the game's files on your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser, or removing the installed app, deletes both.

The website

The website is a simple static site. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party fonts or scripts. Like any website, it is served by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you contact us, through the contact form or by email, we use your name and email address only to reply to you or, if you asked, to tell you when the app launches. Messages from the form are delivered to us by email and are not stored on the website. We don't share them with anyone.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling information differently, for example by adding optional features that need an internet connection, we will update this policy and the date above before that change is released.
