Good to know
Can I play right now?
Yes. Play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone, or install it on your phone so it opens like an app.
Do I need to play both books?
No. Pick the Bible, the Quran, or both. Each has its own journey and progress, and a round never mixes the two.
Which translations does it use?
The King James Version for the Bible, and Marmaduke Pickthall's English for the Quran, with the original Arabic shown after each Quran question.
How do I install it on my phone?
Android: open holybookquiz.com in Chrome and tap Install the app (or choose Install app from the browser menu). iPhone and iPad: open it in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. It gets its own icon and works offline after your first game.
Can I play the Quran in Arabic?
Yes. Every Quran question shows the Arabic ayah above the English. On the Quran journey map, choose العربية under "Questions in" and the answers are in Arabic too, so you can play without reading English.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only the first time. Once you've played once, the installed app (and the game in your browser) works without an internet connection.
What data do you collect?
None. There are no accounts, and your stars and scores are saved only on your device or in your browser. Read the full privacy policy.
